This is John. John is a boxer. John needs a powerful mouth guard that can best protect his brain from knocking against his skull, causing a concussion, traumatic brain injury, or worse (we're talking d-e-a-t-h). Have you seen the research on what concussion, especially the multiple concussions sustained by a boxer or football player for example, can do to a person. Over time? It's disturbing, isn't it? The American Dental Association suggests athletes wear a mouthguard when participating in the following sports: acrobats, basketball, boxing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, handball, ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, racquetball, roller hockey, rugby, shot putting, skateboarding, skiing, skydiving, soccer, squash, surfing, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting, and wrestling. Other experts include baseball and softball infielders on that list. They further recommend the mouthguard to be worn during all practices and competition.
